Spring bloom at the New York Botanical Gardens

I visited the New York Botanical Gardens for 10 days, and had the great pleasure of researching the art collection in the lovely Mertz Library. My research moved ahead by leaps and bounds, and the friendly staff were so helpful. I toured the gardens in the little tram, seeing the early spring arrive in New York in March. I also had the great pleasure of visiting with my grand niece Abbe, whom I had not seen for over 20 years.  She is a lovely woman, with a sterling career and a great smile.  It really was a joy to share this lovely garden, and the Orchid Show with her.
